I
Am Not Lefthanded renew their trademark cinematic indie sound with the
release of their new album, The Fire & The Sigh. Written and
recorded between two continents, it has themes of duality running
throughout, with songs of soft sighs and rising fire. Over the sparse
yet uplifting arrangements, Kathryn’s subtle vocals shade themes of
loneliness, reflection and dislocation, but also hope.
From
the joyous refrain of Falls To Me, to the restless thrum of Late Night
Drive; the melancholic dream of Return contrasts the driving pulse of
Brace Brace. The stirring harmonies of lead single Alone (it’s not so
bad) will soothe the hardest heart. Sounding good whispering in your
headphones, or turned up loud in an empty house, The Fire & The Sigh
brings bittersweet reflection to happy times and hope to the darker
hours.
