Música: Hijo Del Rio.. National Parks

National Parks is the debut album by Hijo del Rio. It was recorded in a bedroom at frontman Tommy Read's house in Waco, TX with the help of other local musicians including Hannah Read (lomelda.com) and Ryan Pickop (ryanpickop.bandcamp.com). Their arrangements are often set to a slow meter in the hope that the songs will breath and develop. Throughout the album there are images of landscapes caught in memories woven into disoriented apologies and the occasional uncovering of hope. At moments its even pretty.

There is also a bonus track available for download (along with a video) that will be released on a split EP Hijo is doing with fellow bandmate Ryan Pickop sometime Fall 2013.
